tracy is a good writer and not a bad engineer

However. He is exactly what gives car enthusiats a bad name.

1: Wrecking his neighboors yard (they said he can drive over it, not turn it onto a mini mud bog)

2: having literally 10 different rust buckets that dont run.

3: taking borderline and some just straight up DANGEROUS cars on the street.

not to mention the atrocities he has done to his wifes household applicances.

He means well. But god dam, I wish he’d stop and re-evaluate his life time to time.

Yeah, I am with you. I can’t stand reading about how he has “fixed” something or how he has “welded” something. It’s all bailing wire and sheet metal screws held together with hope and luck. That postal jeep was downright scary to see and I was looking at it on a computer screen. The sections where he did weld repairs on the frame were terrifying.

yes, but roadkill has were to properly store them. he doesnt.

as for #3, they might look like hopties, but road kill stuff is no where near as bad as Davids. Anythign that is streeted always has decent (maybe not great) brakes and good tires.

As for things I’d like to see, I was just daydreaming about how we’re seeing all of these Tesla powertrains swapped into things that are decidedly not Teslas, but we’ve never seen a Cummins Diesel swapped into a Tesla.

I think I’d like to see that. No good reason, I just would. I think it would get many of those clicks that all of the kids seem to be after these days too, and isn’t that what’s most important?

I don’t think 1 is true. He ruined his own (that is to say his landlord’s) lawn. His neighbors were complaining about the noise and ugliness his yard destruction was making, but they are separated by a fence (and don’t actually have much of a yard, their property is mostly driveway)

Unless I’m mistaken, the yard and appliances he wrecks are his landlord’s and his landlord reportedly likes it. So, given his landlord is cool with it and he doesn’t have an association to whine about it, I couldn’t care less about 1, 2, or the appliance thing.

But 3? Yeah...I’m not normally an advocate for mandatory inspections, but his Moab projects are perfect examples of how they do benefit.
